This year, Calidus will use its stand at the exhibition to demonstrate the UAE’s growing strength in the defense industry. The company is inviting military specialists, decision-makers, and visitors to come and see the future of defense technology developed by Emirati engineers.
For the first time, Calidus will reveal a new 8x8 vehicle that’s designed to perform in the toughest conditions. This all-terrain, eight-wheeled vehicle is fully developed and built in the UAE by Emirati engineers. It’s not only the first of its kind in the region but also one of the most advanced vehicles globally, showcasing Calidus' ability to design and build cutting-edge military products. This vehicle highlights the company’s manufacturing skills, allowing it to compete in both local and international markets.
In addition to the new vehicle, Calidus will also showcase a range of armored vehicles, including the MATV004 and MATV001. These vehicles are built to offer top-level protection, mobility, and the ability to carry out various military missions. The MATV004 will even be equipped to carry the Al Heda missile system and other advanced weapon platforms.
One of the most exciting announcements will be the unveiling of the “Barq” rocket launcher system. Designed for quick movement and powerful firepower, the Barq system uses the latest technology to offer impressive performance.

Dr. Khalifa Alblooshi, CEO and Managing Director of Calidus, shared his excitement about participating in IDEX 2025. He called the event an important opportunity to bring together global defense leaders and showcase the latest innovations. He also highlighted how this year’s IDEX is special, as it’s the largest edition to date and offers a unique chance to strengthen partnerships and relationships in the defense industry.
Dr. Alblooshi emphasized that all of Calidus' products are created by skilled Emirati professionals who follow the highest international standards. This aligns with the UAE’s goal of supporting local industries, developing homegrown talent, and contributing to sustainable economic development.
At IDEX 2025, Calidus plans to sign several partnership agreements with top global companies. These partnerships aim to establish local production lines and bring advanced technologies to the UAE. This will help strengthen the country’s defense capabilities and create a sustainable, innovation-driven economy in line with the vision of the UAE leadership.
Through these efforts, Calidus is contributing to the growth of the UAE’s defense industry, helping to train national talent and create opportunities for the future.
