Renowned for their rugged mountains, enticing Black Sea resorts, and the captivating allure of Dracula's origins, these two nations are poised to become prime destinations for global tourists.

The Schengen visa has long been celebrated for its facilitation of seamless travel across Europe, eliminating the need for multiple visas when traversing through member countries. Rajeev Kale, President and Country Head of Holidays, MICE, Visa for Thomas Cook (India) Limited, notes a substantial surge in demand, attributing it to Indian travelers' penchant for maximizing their experiences. "Indians are quintessential value seekers, and with just one visa, the allure of a multi-country trip will surely drive more people to apply for it in the coming months," Kale states.

Abhishek Gupta, Co-founder and Director of Trip Navigator, underscores the logistical benefits of this expansion, emphasizing the enhanced efficiency and time-saving measures it brings. "This expansion streamlines the visa process, facilitating seamless travel across multiple EU countries and reducing logistical complexities for professionals on the go," Gupta explains. "The elimination of internal border checks enhances efficiency and saves valuable time, while improved connectivity promises more direct flight options and easier access to emerging markets."

For travelers planning to explore these enchanting destinations, there are some essential details to consider. Schengen visas issued by Romania and Bulgaria allow for travel within Schengen countries for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. However, it's crucial to note that passport check exemptions for these countries are applicable only for air and sea transport. Travelers crossing the Romanian or Bulgarian border by road must ensure they possess a valid passport for smooth entry.
