Beta Technologies Soars with $1B IPO, Electric Flight Future

Vermont-based electric aircraft maker Beta Technologies has made a striking debut in the U.S. capital markets, raising $1.01 billion in its initial public offering on Monday. The company’s shares were priced at $34 each, above the initial range of $27–$33, signaling robust investor confidence and strong market appetite for new listings.

The offering included 29.9 million shares, giving Beta a potential valuation of $7.44 billion. The New York Stock Exchange will list the company under the ticker symbol “BETA” on Tuesday. The IPO was led by major underwriters including Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Jefferies, and Citigroup.

Electric aviation remains a niche yet rapidly developing sector, and Beta Technologies has positioned itself at the forefront of this emerging industry. The company designs and manufactures high-performance electric aircraft, advanced propulsion systems, and charging solutions, aiming to redefine sustainable flight.
