Allu Arjun addresses backlash over not visiting boy hurt in stampede

Pushpa star Allu Arjun has shared his first statement on social media after being released from jail. He was arrested because of a stampede that happened at the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule. The incident was very sad as it caused the death of a woman and left her young son badly injured. Arjun was in Hyderabad's Chanchalguda jail for one night and returned home on Saturday morning.

After coming home, Allu Arjun spent time with his family and friends. His wife Sneha Reddy gave him an emotional hug when he returned. He also met his children, Ayaan and Arha, and his brother, Allu Sirish. Many well-known people, like Pushpa director Sukumar and actors Naga Chaitanya, Rana Daggubati, and Vijay Deverakonda, visited him to show their support. The next day, Arjun and his family visited Chiranjeevi’s house.

Some people criticized Arjun for not visiting the injured boy at the hospital. To explain this, Arjun posted a note on his Instagram account. He said, “I remain deeply concerned about young Sri Tej, who is under constant medical care after the unfortunate incident. Due to the ongoing legal proceedings, I have been advised not to visit him and his family at this time.”

In his statement, Arjun also said, “My prayers remain with them, and I am committed to helping the family with their medical and other needs. I wish him a quick recovery and hope to meet him and his family as soon as I can.”

For the first time after his release, Arjun also spoke to the media. He said, “I follow the law and will fully cooperate with the authorities. I once again want to say sorry to the family for their loss. It is a very sad incident.”

Because of the crowd, there was a stampede, and a 35-year-old woman named Revathi died. Her son was badly injured and is still in a serious condition. After the incident, the Hyderabad police filed a case against Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The case was registered after Revathi’s husband filed a complaint. Recently, the husband decided to withdraw the complaint.
