Fils played well, but he made some big mistakes at important times. Alcaraz used these chances to turn the game around and win. Now, Alcaraz will play against another player from Spain, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, in the semi-final. Davidovich Fokina won his match easily against Alexei Popyrin from Australia.
In another match, Lorenzo Musetti from Italy also had a big win. He lost the first set badly to Stefanos Tsitsipas from Greece, but he didn’t give up. He came back and won the next two sets with scores of 6-3, 6-4. Tsitsipas made many serving mistakes and couldn’t finish the match even when he was ahead.
Musetti will play against Alex de Minaur from Australia in the other semi-final. De Minaur had a very quick win over Grigor Dimitrov from Bulgaria. Dimitrov played very badly and made 23 big errors. He lost both sets 6-0 in just 44 minutes.
Now, two exciting semi-final matches are coming up: Alcaraz vs. Davidovich Fokina and Musetti vs. De Minaur. The tournament has had many surprises so far, and fans are excited to see who will reach the final.
