  • AgraME 2025, organised under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, has witnessed a significant start to the exhibition and conference in the Middle East’s event history.
  • The event convened 7,000+ stakeholders and 150+ exhibitors from 180+ countries to advance regional food security and agricultural innovation.

Dubai, UAE – October 7, 2025: The 17th edition of AgraME 2025, the Middle East’s longest-running and most comprehensive exhibition dedicated to agriculture, animal husbandry, and aquaculture farming, was officially inaugurated today at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Hosted under the esteemed patronage of the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE), the event was graced by the presence of H.E. Eng. Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director General of the Dubai Land Department and Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality, along with a distinguished gathering of policymakers, industry leaders, and international delegates.

The opening keynote was delivered by H.E. Sultan Salem Saif Al Shamsi, Director of the National Agricultural Center, who underscored AgraME’s strategic relevance to the UAE’s national priorities, particularly in advancing food security and promoting sustainable agricultural innovation. He highlighted the event’s role in nurturing young Emirati talent and empowering them to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s agricultural vision.

AgraME 2025: A Showcase of Global Innovation

Marking its 17th consecutive year, AgraME 2025 commenced with an exclusive VIP walkthrough of the exhibition, showcasing cutting-edge innovations from over 150 exhibitors representing more than 180 countries. The exhibition provides a 360-degree view of the agricultural value chain, from seed to table, illustrating the latest advancements in farming technologies, livestock management, aquaculture solutions, and sustainability practices.

H.E. Sultan Salem Saif Al Shamsi remarked,
"AgraME 2025 is not just an exhibition; it is a critical platform for transforming strategy into action. It strengthens our commitment to farmers, facilitates knowledge transfer, and fosters partnerships with the private sector. Through collaboration and innovation, we are accelerating the UAE’s National Food Security Strategy 2051, ensuring resilience, sustainability, and growth for generations to come."

Ahmed Khalil, Portfolio Director of AgraME, added,
"The conversation in the region has evolved. We are no longer asking how to create sustainable food systems—we are actively building them. AgraME serves as a catalyst, bringing together stakeholders, showcasing real-world technologies, and enabling implementation on the ground. From AI-driven water management to regenerative farming practices, this event transforms national strategy into tangible outcomes for food security and resilience."

Highlighting Regional Investment and Innovation

AgraME 2025 also spotlighted the GCC region’s emergence as a hub for innovation and investment in agriculture. Recent data demonstrates that the UAE leads regional venture capital efforts, with startups raising $2.7 billion in 2024-2025. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia secured a landmark $9.8 billion in private investment for sustainable agriculture, reflecting strong investor confidence in the region’s food security objectives.

Conferences Driving Knowledge and Action

Immediately following the inauguration, AgraME 2025 hosted three specialized, free-to-attend conferences, beginning with the Future Food Resilience Summit. The summit featured forward-looking sessions aimed at transforming rural agricultural heartlands into hubs of innovation.

Sheikh Dr. Majid Al Qassimi, Founding Partner of Soma Mater, shared insights on the region’s research growth, noting a 16-fold increase in UAE research output over the last 20 years, and a 320% surge in Saudi Arabia during the same period. Complementing this, Dr. Tarifa Alzaabi, Director General of the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA), outlined actionable strategies for implementing biosaline agriculture in water-scarce environments.

A session on the “Future of Agricultural Production in the GCC”, led by Hassan Halawy, CEO of Elite Agritech, explored next-generation farming models, emphasizing the use of data analytics and AI in precision agriculture across desert landscapes. Another key session, “Net Zero Hero”, examined practical approaches to carbon-neutral farming, reinforcing sustainability as a cornerstone of the regional agricultural agenda.

Expanding the Agenda

AgraME 2025 continues tomorrow with additional sessions at the Future Food Resilience Summit, focusing on regenerative agriculture, strengthening food supply chains, and enhancing ecosystem efficiency. The Middle East Livestock Forum will further provide expert insights on animal health, genetics, and sustainable livestock management, with specialists like Dr. Yassir Ali, Epidemiology & Zoonosis Expert at Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety, leading critical discussions.

A resounding call to action emerged from the summit, encouraging global food system stakeholders to increase investments in regional research, startups, and innovation ecosystems, while urging policymakers to streamline innovation pathways for faster implementation and measurable impact.

Innovative Engagement for Participants

AgraME 2025 also introduced digital-first engagement tools to enhance participant experience, including the ConnectMe smart networking app for pre-scheduled meetings and a digital delegate bag, offering year-round access to exclusive industry insights, market intelligence, and research resources. This ensures every attendee—from policymakers to agritech innovators—can navigate the agricultural value chain effectively and discover practical solutions for their operations.

Sustaining the Region’s Agricultural Leadership

As the Middle East’s longest-running agricultural trade show, AgraME remains the central hub where innovation meets sustainability, bringing together the full spectrum of the regional agricultural ecosystem. AgraME 2025 is a free-to-attend event, running through October 7, 2025, in Halls 3 and 4 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, offering a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and business development. Attendees are encouraged to consult the official event app for a detailed hour-by-hour schedule.

AgraME 2025 is proudly supported by a distinguished lineup of industry-leading sponsors, including Reef Saudi, AgroHouse Trading LLC, Elite Agro Holding LLC, Flora Engineering Services LLC, Foshan GrowSpec BioTech Co., Ltd., Grabi Chemical SpA, The Qrill Company, Dutch Greenhouse Delta, Green Akzente, Montel, and PwC, reflecting strong industry collaboration in driving the region’s agricultural transformation.
