Accra Hosts 5th SHE Global Awards: Celebrating Women's Achievements in Business and Sustainability.
 

Accra, Ghana. 08 April,2024 : The Sophisticated, High-Networth & Excellence (SHE) Global Awards, organized by Ladies in Business Magazine Global, is set to host its fifth edition in Accra, Ghana, on the 12th and 13th of April, 2024. This prestigious event, which has previously been held in Dubai, celebrates successful women changemakers from Africa and around the world.

Ghana, known for its peaceful atmosphere and conducive business environment, has been chosen as the ideal African location for this year's awards. The event is expected to boost the hospitality industry in the region, as guests from various parts of the globe will be attending.

The theme for this year, "The Queen of Sustainability," aims to highlight the importance of living sustainably and recognizing businesswomen who are positively impacting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Adeshola Helen Onadipe, Founder and Publisher of Ladies in Business Magazine Global, emphasized that the awards celebrate the diversity and achievements of women in business, regardless of tribe, language, or religion. Nana Yaa Serwaa Sarpong, Organizing Partner for the 5th edition and Founder of the League of Extraordinary Women, highlighted the significant contribution of women to socioeconomic development in Africa. She stressed the importance of providing women with the necessary resources and environment for empowerment.

Louis Yaw Afful, Group Executive Director of APN Group of Organizations, Ghana, called for more decision-making positions and platforms for women to fully participate in initiatives like the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Rosette Aliu Squire, Founder of The African Regional Journal, emphasized the need for women to support each other and not see each other as competitors.
