One of the big highlights was the Youth Councils Forum, organized by the Federal Youth Authority. At this event, which was attended by many important guests, the Abu Dhabi Youth Council was given the Best Innovative Initiative Award for its Guided.ae platform. This platform is designed to help Emirati youth by offering them chances to learn new skills and make money. Ghalya Ahmed Al Ali, the Chair of the Abu Dhabi Youth Council, also won the Best Youth Council Member Award and was named one of the top three youth council members in the country.
At the local level, Saeed Aswad Al Ameri, a member of the Al Dhafra Youth Council, won the award for Best Distinguished Member. The second-place winner was Musallem Hmoud Al Derei, Chair of the Al Ain Youth Council, and third place went to Latefa Hamdan Al Mansoori, Chair of the Al Dhafra Youth Council.
Ghalya Ahmed Al Ali, Chair of the Abu Dhabi Youth Council, said, "The achievements of the Abu Dhabi Youth Council during this time show how important it is to give young people the right chances to make a change. This success is because of our leaders who trust in young people’s abilities, as well as the help from our many partners. We are sure that the new council will continue to build on these achievements and keep youth at the center of progress."
Nasser Al Mansoori, a member of the council and a big part of the Guided.ae platform, said, "Guided.ae was made to help Emirati youth by offering them new ways to learn and earn money. It’s not just a platform for connecting visitors with local guides, but also a way for young people to show their culture and experiences. Being recognized for this confirms that we are on the right path and motivates us to keep growing the project and offer more chances for Emirati youth."
As the sixth term ends, the seventh term of the Abu Dhabi Youth Council has officially started. The new team is ready to keep working on helping young people and opening more doors for them to succeed in different areas. This shows the UAE’s strong support for young leaders and making sure they have everything they need to build a brighter future.
The outgoing council members shared their trust in the new team and wished them success in carrying on the mission and achieving even more for the youth of Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
