Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has teamed up with Anxinsec, a cybersecurity company based in Abu Dhabi, to help students get ready for jobs in the growing field of cybersecurity.
ADU’s College of Engineering offers a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity engineering. This course teaches students how to protect computer systems and keep online communication safe. The program also supports the goals of the National Electronic Security Authority (NESA) and the Dubai Cybersecurity Strategy, which aim to make the country safe from cyber threats. To meet the growing need for skilled workers, ADU has started a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity to give students more knowledge in the field.

The partnership was signed by Professor Ghassan Aouad, the Chancellor of ADU, and Zheng Li, Co-Founder of Anxinsec, with other key people from both organizations present. The partnership will raise awareness about cybersecurity by hosting workshops, talks, and research activities. These events will help students and the public learn more and make connections with people in the industry.
Professor Ghassan Aouad said, “This partnership with Anxinsec will help strengthen cybersecurity in the UAE and prepare us for the future. As cyber threats grow, cybersecurity is becoming even more important. Abu Dhabi University is committed to giving students the skills they need to protect the digital world and create a safe future. By training the next generation of cybersecurity experts, we are making our country stronger and more competitive.”
As part of this partnership, Anxinsec will hold yearly cybersecurity events and offer internships to three outstanding ADU students every year. These internships will give students hands-on experience in cybersecurity. Both ADU and Anxinsec will also host workshops to help students learn more and connect with cybersecurity experts.
Zheng Li, Co-Founder of Anxinsec, said, “We are excited to work with Abu Dhabi University to help train the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. This partnership shows how important it is for schools and companies to work together to create a safe and innovative future.”
This partnership is part of ADU’s recent growth, which has added new programs, including bachelor’s degrees in international relations, psychology, artificial intelligence (AI) engineering, and renewable energy engineering. ADU has also started new master’s degrees in AI, cybersecurity, financial technology, digital communication, digital transformation, and cyberlaw, along with a PhD in law.
