The UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), along with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), will host a big aviation event called the 4th ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS 2025) in Abu Dhabi. Along with this event, there will be another special exhibition called the Global Sustainable Aviation Marketplace (GSAM 2025). This event is important because it will help find better ways to make airplanes use fuel that is less harmful to the environment.

This global event will happen from February 10 to 12, 2025. More than 1,500 people are expected to attend. These include officials from ICAO’s 193 member countries, ministers, and top leaders in aviation, transport, and energy. There will also be 150 speakers, including experts, government officials, and CEOs from important companies.

At the same time, GSAM 2025 will have an exhibition where 75 companies from around the world will show their latest ideas and products related to aviation, energy, and new technology. This will give businesses a chance to share their solutions for making air travel more environment-friendly.

The event will be opened by His Excellency Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Chairman of GCAA, along with Salvatore Sciacchitano, President of the ICAO Council. His Excellency Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri said that hosting this event shows the UAE’s strong position in global aviation and its commitment to improving sustainability. He hopes this event will help launch new plans, ideas, and policies to make the aviation industry stronger, more competitive, and eco-friendly.

Salvatore Sciacchitano, ICAO Council President, said that GISS 2025 will focus on two big topics. The first is sustainability, which means finding ways to make aviation better for the environment while also keeping costs low and making flights more efficient. The second is artificial intelligence, which is being used more in aviation to improve safety and make operations smoother. He said that this event will bring together leaders from different countries to discuss important aviation rules, safety measures, and new technologies.

His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of GCAA, said that Abu Dhabi was chosen as the host city because of the UAE’s strong role in global aviation. He also said that the launch of GSAM 2025 is important because the aviation industry needs to find new fuels that do not harm the environment. The UAE is working to bring experts together to find better solutions for the future of aviation.

Many important officials from different countries will attend this event. Some of them include Barbara Creecy, Minister of Transport of South Africa; Viliame Rogoibulu Gavoka, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism & Civil Aviation of Fiji; Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe, Minister for Public Works and Transport of Eswatini; Alhaji Fanday Turay, Minister of Transport and Aviation of Sierra Leone; and Abdul Wahab Teffaha, Secretary-General of the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO). Many other experts from government offices, big companies, and universities will also join to talk about aviation, energy, sustainability, and technology.

GISS 2025 is one of the most important aviation events held by ICAO. It focuses on making air travel safer, more secure, and more sustainable. In the past, this event was held in Istanbul (Turkey), Seoul (South Korea), and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic). The 2025 event will be the first time it is held in the Middle East. This year, the main topics will be sustainability and how artificial intelligence can be used in aviation.

The event will have many activities like group discussions, training sessions, and networking events. People will be able to share ideas, learn new things, and form partnerships to improve the future of aviation.

GSAM 2025 is a new idea created by the UAE under ICAO. It will bring together everyone involved in making and using sustainable aviation fuel, including those who produce, sell, store, and use it. This platform will help in increasing the use of clean fuels in the aviation industry. The exhibition will take place alongside another important event, the Sustainable Aviation Future Congress, which will focus on green energy for aviation.

By hosting GISS 2025 and GSAM 2025, the UAE is showing that it is a global leader in aviation and sustainability. These events will help the industry move toward a future that is better for both people and the planet.
