The weather in the UAE is expected to stay mostly clear to partly cloudy today, according to the latest forecasts. While most areas will enjoy sunny skies, some eastern parts of the country may experience scattered showers and the formation of convective clouds in the afternoon. This means sudden short bursts of rain could appear over certain areas, especially in the east.
Humidity levels are expected to rise overnight and into Monday morning, particularly along the western coastal regions and inland areas. This increase in moisture could lead to fog or light mist in the early hours, reducing visibility in some areas. Residents are advised to drive carefully during these times, especially in coastal and low-lying areas.
Winds across the UAE are forecast to be light to moderate, generally blowing from the southeast to the northeast at speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h. However, occasional gusts could reach up to 40 km/h, especially during the hotter parts of the day. These winds are not expected to cause major disruptions but may make outdoor conditions slightly more challenging in open areas.
The seas are predicted to be calm in the Arabian Gulf, making it safe for small boats and water activities. High tides will occur at 1:35 p.m. and 12:58 a.m., while low tides will be observed at 6:56 p.m. and 7:22 a.m. In the Sea of Oman, sea conditions will generally be light to moderate, with high tides at 9:28 a.m. and 9:50 p.m., and low tides at 3:46 p.m. and 3:52 a.m. Boaters and fishermen are advised to take these tide timings into account for planning their activities.
Daytime temperatures across the UAE are expected to remain extremely high. Most of the northern emirates will see temperatures in the low 40s. Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are forecast to reach 41°C, while Dubai, Ajman, and Umm Al Quwain are expected to hit 40°C. Fujairah will remain slightly milder at 34°C, while Al Ain could climb as high as 42°C.
Other regions will also experience intense heat. Liwa and Al Ain are expected to hit 42°C, Ruwais and Al Sila may reach 37°C, Delma is forecasted at 38°C, and Sir Bani Yas and Abu Musa could reach 40°C. Overnight temperatures will stay relatively warm, ranging from 27°C in Ras Al Khaimah to 33°C in Abu Musa. Relative humidity is likely to increase up to 85 percent in some areas, adding to the discomfort.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak hours, and take precautions against heat-related illnesses. It is also important to monitor early morning fog if traveling along coastal and low-lying areas.
This weather pattern is typical for late summer in the UAE, where high temperatures combine with rising humidity to create challenging conditions. Authorities are likely to issue advisories if the weather conditions worsen, especially in areas where fog or sudden showers could pose safety risks.
Overall, today in the UAE will be marked by hot and humid conditions, mostly clear skies, light to moderate winds, occasional gusts, and safe sea conditions. Residents and visitors should take necessary precautions to stay safe and comfortable.
