Eyewitness footage captured a tense moment at a cemetery in Abdanan, located in Iran’s Ilam province, where protesters gathered for the 40‑day memorial of those killed during last year’s nationwide crackdown. Demonstrators were heard chanting “Death to Khamenei” as the event unfolded.

Suddenly, a loud explosion echoed through the area, causing panic as the crowd scattered. Witnesses said the sound resembled gunfire.
