Sheikh Mohammed Meets Pakistan President Asif Zardari in Dubai

Dubai, UAE:

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari at Za’abeel Palace in Dubai. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in key areas of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance. His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was also present.

Both leaders discussed ways to enhance economic, developmental, and strategic cooperation between the UAE and Pakistan. They also exchanged views on regional and global issues and stressed the importance of international stability, security, and sustainable development.

Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with Pakistan, highlighting the long-standing historical ties between the two nations. President Asif Ali Zardari praised Sheikh Mohammed’s role in advancing bilateral relations and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation in economic and development sectors.

The meeting was attended by senior UAE leaders and officials, including Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.

From the Pakistani side, attendees included First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Presidential Advisor Asim Hussain, Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan, and Brigadier Sajid Akbar.

On the sidelines, Sheikh Mohammed also met with business leaders and government officials to discuss improving the business environment and strengthening public-private partnerships. He further met top graduates from the Zayed II Military College and the Dubai Police Academy, praising their achievements and stressing the importance of investing in national talent for the country’s future and security.
