His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, paid an official visit to the National Guard headquarters in Abu Dhabi, underscoring the UAE’s commitment to national security and military excellence.
On arrival, Sheikh Hamdan was warmly received by top defence officials, including Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; and Major General Saleh Mohammed bin Mejren Al Ameri, Commander of the National Guard, along with senior officers.

During the visit, the Crown Prince highlighted the armed forces’ role in safeguarding the nation’s achievements. He praised the personnel for their dedication, loyalty, and high level of military skill, which ensure the UAE’s continued safety and stability. Sheikh Hamdan also emphasized the importance of strengthening both human and technological capacities in line with international defence standards.
Sheikh Hamdan received a detailed briefing on the National Guard’s initiatives to enhance coordination with other security and military institutions. He witnessed a field demonstration showcasing the Guard’s advanced operational capabilities and the professionalism of its personnel.
Concluding the visit, Sheikh Hamdan lauded the National Guard’s readiness and its crucial role in maintaining community safety. He noted that the Guard’s effectiveness reflects the nation’s sustained investment in defence, continuous training programs, and strategic vision aimed at achieving operational excellence.
