During that visit, Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Professor Ahmed Al-Tayeb, signed the Human Fraternity Document in Abu Dhabi. This paper became a symbol of peace and friendship among all people.
Later, the United Nations agreed to celebrate February 4th every year as the International Day of Human Fraternity, to honor the message of peace brought by Pope Francis and others.
