Affected customers are advised to contact their booking agents for alternative travel options or reach out to Emirates if they have booked directly with the airline. Furthermore, Emirates encourages passengers departing or arriving at Dubai International Airport to check their flight status on the Emirates website for the latest updates regarding their flights.
Due to the temporary closure of several airspaces on the evening of October 1, some flydubai flights have also been impacted. A flydubai spokesperson confirmed that flights FZ 143 to Amman International Airport (AMM) and FZ 157 to Ankara International Airport (ESB) have returned to Dubai. Flydubai flight FZ 728, from Istanbul International Airport (IST) to Dubai International (DXB), has also returned to Istanbul. Flights to Jordan, Iraq, Israel, and Iran (excluding Bandar Abbas, Kish, and Lar) have been canceled on October 2 and 3. Passengers connecting to these destinations will not be accepted for onward travel.
Flydubai is closely monitoring the situation and adjusting its flight schedule as necessary. Passengers are advised to check flight statuses on the flydubai website for the most current information.
Both Emirates and flydubai are actively monitoring the regional situation and are in contact with relevant authorities regarding any developments.
