Tommy Fleetwood Confirmed for Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship 2024

Tommy Fleetwood, the Olympic silver medallist, will aim to add another accolade to his impressive career when he competes in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yas Links from November 7-10. Fleetwood will be joined by notable competitors Adam Scott and Justin Rose, both major champions and former world number ones, for the penultimate event of the 2024 season.

The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, which is the fourth Rolex Series event of the season, has been repositioned within the Tour’s schedule as part of the new DP World Tour Play-Offs. This change reflects the event's growing significance on the Tour.

Fleetwood, a Dubai resident, has a notable history of success in the UAE. He has secured three of his seven DP World Tour victories in the region. He is a two-time champion of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, having won in 2017 and 2018. In addition to these victories, Fleetwood claimed the season-long Race to Dubai title in 2017 and earlier this year won the inaugural Dubai Invitational.

Fleetwood's recent achievements include earning a silver medal for Great Britain at the Paris Olympics. At the Paris Olympics, he shared the podium with world number one Scottie Scheffler and major champion Hideki Matsuyama at Le Golf National, which also hosted his Ryder Cup debut in 2018.

As part of the revamped DP World Tour Play-Offs, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship will feature the top 70 players from the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex, following the Genesis Korea Championship. The top 50 players on the rankings at the end of the week will then advance to the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, marking the culmination of the 2024 golf season.
