H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, officially inaugurated the 13th edition of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) today. The opening ceremony was attended by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Media Council.

This year’s IGCF, themed “Agile Governments... Innovative Communication,” aims to explore how governments can evolve to meet the demands of modern communication. Over the next two days, the forum will host more than 250 distinguished speakers, who will present across 18 diverse platforms. These experts will offer their insights, share their experiences, and provide valuable recommendations and initiatives.
The forum’s primary objective is to guide countries in adopting forward-thinking strategies and practices in government communication. By doing so, it seeks to enhance their capacity to drive sustainable and comprehensive development, ultimately fostering a more effective and responsive approach to public engagement and governance.
