Sharjah Deputy Ruler Showcases Digital Innovation at GITEX 2025

Dubai – His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Communication Technologies Authority, explored Sharjah’s technological excellence at GITEX Global 2025, one of the world’s largest innovation and technology exhibitions held from 13–17 October at Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Deputy Ruler visited the Sharjah Government pavilion, which brings together 20 government entities under the theme “Human-Centred Technological Integration.” The pavilion emphasizes Sharjah’s vision of combining digital transformation with human-focused solutions to enhance government services and overall quality of life.

Innovative Projects for a Smart Sharjah

During his visit, His Highness was briefed on the “Mada” system, a rainwater simulation platform that predicts rainfall accumulation and visualizes its impact across the Emirate. The system helps protect lives and property while promoting sustainable city planning.

The “Nabni” platform was also highlighted, providing 129 unified services for engineering and construction across Sharjah’s municipalities. By integrating artificial intelligence, the platform streamlines document verification and improves service efficiency.

In the real estate sector, the “Aqari” project aims to centralize property information, offering accurate data and a unified digital portal to enhance decision-making and customer experience.

Fostering Innovation and AI Solutions

His Highness attended the Sharjah Digital Hackathon, which featured eight teams developing AI-driven infrastructure solutions. The event demonstrates the Emirate’s commitment to nurturing government and youth talent while encouraging innovation in public service delivery.

At the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) stand, he explored initiatives such as “Ask Us,” an AI-powered interactive service via WhatsApp, and the Smart Government Assistant, designed to simplify government procedures and align with UAE’s Digital Vision 2031.

Telecom and AI Advancements

The Deputy Ruler visited du’s stand, learning about maritime connectivity through Starlink satellites, AI-driven data centres, and sovereign AI solutions. He also explored e& UAE’s innovations in mobility, electric air taxis, robotics, 5G networks, IoT eSIMs, and drone tracking technologies, reflecting the UAE’s leadership in digital transformation.

Accompanied by senior officials from Sharjah’s digital and media sectors, His Highness’s visit highlighted the Emirate’s dedication to creating an integrated, technology-driven, and human-focused digital ecosystem. From smart city planning to AI innovation, Sharjah is shaping a sustainable future that balances advanced technology with community well-being.
