Sharjah Announces SGCA 2025 Winners at IGCF Closing Ceremony

The Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) has officially announced the nominees for the 12th edition of the Sharjah Government Communication Award (SGCA 2025). The winners will be revealed and honored during the closing ceremony of the 14th International Government Communication Forum (IGCF), which will take place on September 11, 2025, at Expo Centre Sharjah. This year, the forum will run from September 10 to 11, 2025, under the theme “Communication for Quality of Life.”

The SGCA 2025 is one of the most important platforms in the region that recognizes excellence, creativity, and innovation in government and strategic communication. It aims to highlight achievements that make a positive impact on society, encourage sustainable development, and promote collaboration between governments, organizations, and the private sector.

Nominees and Categories

This year, the Sharjah Government Communication Award received over 2,600 entries from different countries. After a thorough screening process, more than 600 submissions from 37 countries moved to the next stage. Finally, 170 entries were evaluated by the Supreme Jury Committee, which includes some of the most respected media and communication experts in the region.

The award has 23 categories that are divided into five main sectors:

  1. Awards for Government Entities, International Organizations, and the Private Sector

  2. Individual Awards

  3. Partner Awards

  4. Jury Awards

  5. Best Innovators Competition in Smart Communication Award

Supreme Jury Committee

The final evaluation of the submissions is conducted by the Supreme Jury Committee, which is composed of highly experienced professionals, including:

  • His Excellency Mohammed Jalal Al Raisi, Head of the Judging Committee

  • His Excellency Dr. Ali Qasim Jawad Al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management

  • Dr. Yasar Jarrar, Senior Strategy Advisor

  • Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahman Al Arfaj, Writer and Journalist

  • His Excellency Sami Al Reyami, Journalist and Columnist

  • His Excellency Shihab Alhammadi, Vice Chancellor at the University of Sharjah

  • His Excellency Ali Jaber, Director of MBC Group and Dean of MBRSC at the American University in Dubai

  • Muhammad Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Sports Channel

  • Mona El Shazly, Egyptian TV Host

The jury carefully evaluated each submission based on impact, creativity, sustainability, and the ability to improve the quality of life through communication.
