Coogler said that Anderson is "incredible" and that he's hopeful she will be involved in the new X-Files series. "Fingers crossed there," he added. He also shared that the X-Files reboot is the next project he will work on, saying it is “immediately next” for him. Coogler seemed very excited about the project, saying he’s been looking forward to it for a long time. He even teased, “Some of those episodes, if we do our jobs right, will be really f**king scary.”
Coogler said he wants to make the reboot something special. He hopes to create a show that long-time X-Files fans will love, but also something that new viewers will enjoy too. He’s excited to get started and bring the show back to life.
After Coogler’s comments, Gillian Anderson shared her thoughts on the reboot. She said she couldn’t think of a better way for the show to return. She also praised Coogler, calling him a genius. However, she wasn’t sure if she would be involved in the reboot. “Whether I am involved in it is a whole other thing,” she said. Anderson did leave the door open, saying she would probably appear somewhere in the series.
Anderson played the character of Dana Scully alongside David Duchovny’s Fox Mulder in the original X-Files show, which ran for nine seasons from 1993 to 2002. The show was also revived for two seasons from 2016 to 2018. Fans are hoping that Anderson will return to her iconic role in the new series, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Coogler’s excitement for the reboot has made fans even more eager to see what the new X-Files will be like. Many are hoping that the new episodes will be just as creepy and thrilling as the originals. Fans of the show are also excited to see if Scully and Mulder will reunite once again.
In the end, Coogler’s X-Files reboot could bring a fresh, exciting version of the show while still keeping the mystery and suspense that made it so popular in the past. Fans can’t wait to see what happens next!
