President Tokayev Meets UAE President Before Abu Dhabi Sustainability Summit

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with UAE President iSheikh Mohamed bn Zayed Al Nahyan before the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit on January 13. Tokayev talked about how important the UAE is to Kazakhstan. He said the relationship between the two countries is growing stronger because of trust, friendship, and respect. He also mentioned that he was looking forward to Sheikh Mohamed’s visit to Kazakhstan and believed it would help make the relationship even better.

The UAE is one of the biggest investors in Kazakhstan. Tokayev shared that the UAE’s investments in Kazakhstan more than doubled last year. He said that the goal is to reach a trade value of $1 billion, and they will focus on areas like transport, energy, finance, and tourism to improve trade. Tokayev also stressed that more projects need to be started in these important areas to keep growing the economy.

Sheikh Mohamed praised Kazakhstan for being part of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and highlighted the good work the two countries are doing together. He said it’s important to continue talking and working on strengthening their relationship. He also said that he is sure that the relationship between the UAE and Kazakhstan will grow and help both countries develop. Sheikh Mohamed also recognized Kazakhstan's role in helping to solve global and regional problems, like security and sustainable development.
