Abu Dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE President, played a solemn role on Thursday as he led worshippers in performing the funeral prayer for the late Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan at the Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed First Mosque in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi.
Accompanying Sheikh Mohamed in this poignant moment was His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, alongside other esteemed members of the Al Nahyan family.
In a display of reverence and tradition, Sheikh Mohamed and the gathered mourners sought the Almighty's mercy for the departed soul, praying for Sheikh Tahnoun's peaceful journey into the afterlife and his eventual place in paradise.
