Nvidia, a big computer company, said on Monday that it will start making its smart computer machines in the United States for the first time.

The company is getting more than one million square feet of space ready in Arizona and Texas to build and check its powerful Blackwell chips and big smart computers. Nvidia says this work will help make machines worth up to $500 billion in the next four years.

Nvidia’s boss, Jensen Huang, said, “These powerful machines that help the world’s smart computers are now being made in the USA for the first time. Making them here helps us make more, faster, and keep things working better.”

This news comes while President Donald Trump’s government is working on tax rules for things like phones, laptops, and chips. Right now, some items do not have extra taxes, but this may change soon.

A top government leader, Howard Lutnick, said on TV, “Phones and laptops might not have taxes now, but chips will have new taxes soon — maybe in one or two months.”

Nvidia also shared that it has already started making its Blackwell chips in a Phoenix factory with the help of TSMC, a company from Taiwan. It is also building smart computer machines in Houston and Dallas with help from companies Foxconn and Wistron.

These machines are made for AI factories — special buildings that only do smart computer work. Nvidia says making them in the U.S. will bring hundreds of thousands of new jobs and help the country’s money grow for many years.

The big work at the Arizona and Texas sites will grow more in the next 12 to 15 months. Nvidia also said it will work with SPIL and Amkor, companies from Taiwan, to pack and test the chips in Arizona.

The White House said this is a win for Trump’s plan to bring more tech jobs to the U.S. They called it “the Trump Effect,” saying his strong push for U.S. factories is now working, with trillions of dollars coming into tech work in America.

Earlier this year, Trump said there would be a big new project called Stargate. It is a team effort between OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank to spend up to $500 billion on smart computer buildings and power in Texas. At first, the money will be $100 billion, but it could grow five times bigger.
