Porsche Targa Legacy Celebrated with Labubu & King Mon

Labubu, the famous figure from the beloved series "The Monsters," continues to enchant fans and collectors. In an exceptional celebration of art and legacy, Porsche, partnering with artist Kasing Lung, is set to launch a limited-edition collectible of the iconic "King Mon" alongside a unique Art Car showcasing Labubu behind the wheel. This collaboration aligns with two major anniversaries: ten years of "The Monsters" and the 60th anniversary of the legendary Porsche 911 Targa.

Characterized by their shaggy fur, long ears, and cheeky grins, these monster figures have become a global sensation, captivating collectors across generations. The upcoming collectible, "King Mon in Porsche 911 Targa," will be a stunning metal sculpture, nearly 40 centimeters tall, making its debut at the Icons of Porsche event in Dubai. Set for a 2026 release, only 60 units will be available worldwide to celebrate the Targa's six-decade legacy.

“Witnessing my character in a car for the first time and reimagining the iconic Porsche Targa was a thrilling experience,” Mused Kasing Lung. King Mon, depicted as a bold, confident leader, embodies traits that resonate with the 911 Targa. Launched in 1965, the Porsche 911 Targa seamlessly integrates the allure of an open-top vehicle with the safety and comfort of a coupe.

Deniz Keskin, Director of Brand Management and Partnerships at Porsche AG, remarked: “Kasing Lung possesses a remarkable ability to intertwine emotion with design—a quality that mirrors our brand ethos. This collaboration showcases how creativity and cultural resonance remain central to Porsche's identity today.” Earlier this year, Porsche renewed its collaboration with Kasing Lung at Porsche NOW in Taipei, presenting selected artworks that emphasize innovation and creativity.

While the limited-edition figure features King Mon in a miniature Targa, a full-sized Labubu figure will take the driver's seat in a 911 Targa (Type 992) as part of the Art Car display at the Dubai venue. Dressed in a Porsche tee and styled with Labubu-inspired artwork, the Art Car symbolizes a fantastic blend of pop culture and automotive brilliance, crafting a unique experience for fans and car enthusiasts alike.
