Veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu is in trouble after a serious case was filed against him. The case now includes an attempt-to-murder charge. This happened because Mohan Babu was accused of attacking a video journalist outside his house in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Mohan Babu has said sorry to the journalist, his family, and the media company. On Friday morning, he wrote a message on his X handle to apologize. He said the incident was “unfortunate” and that he felt very bad about what happened. He explained that everything started as a family fight, but it became a bigger problem when the media got involved. Mohan Babu also said he was in the hospital for the last two days because of health issues. That is why he couldn’t say sorry earlier.
The actor explained what happened. He said a large group of people, about 30-50, entered his house during the family argument. He said that some of these people were “troublemakers” or “anti-social elements.” Mohan Babu admitted that he lost control during the argument and accidentally hurt the journalist. He said he felt very bad about this and hoped the journalist would get well soon.

The police added the attempt-to-murder charge on Thursday after hearing the journalist’s full statement. At first, the case was filed under a different section for causing injury. But after the statement, it was changed to a more serious charge.
The journalist, who is 35 years old, told the police that he went to Mohan Babu’s house on December 10 to report on the family fight between Mohan Babu and his son, Manoj Manchu. The journalist said that Mohan Babu became very angry, used bad words, and attacked him with a microphone. The journalist also said that this attack caused an injury to his head.
The police are now investigating the case to find out more about what happened.
