Mohammed bin Rashid: Mothers' Endowment surpasses Dh1 billion goal swiftly

The Mothers' Endowment campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has achieved remarkable success by surpassing its initial target of Dh1 billion in record time. The campaign, established on March 4, 2024, with the aim of honoring mothers and supporting education and training worldwide, has raised over Dh1.4 billion, exceeding its goal by Dh400 million. This achievement underscores the immense generosity of corporate entities, thousands of individuals, and the success of various supporting events.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response to the campaign, which has garnered contributions totaling Dh1.484 billion before the end of Ramadan. He emphasized the significance of honoring mothers and reiterated the campaign's commitment to continuing to welcome contributions throughout the year.

The success of the Mothers' Endowment campaign in surpassing its target within a short period reflects the benevolent nature of the UAE community and its deeply rooted principles of giving and solidarity. Sheikh Mohammed praised the generosity of the Emirati people and their commitment to supporting initiatives that promote sustainable and constructive empowerment.

The campaign received widespread support from the community, with thousands contributing to its mission of enhancing education and training for underprivileged individuals. Contributions poured in through various channels, including the campaign's website, dedicated call center, bank transfers, and telecommunications companies such as du and etisalat. The DubaiNow app and the community contributions platform Jood also facilitated donations.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Secretary General of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), highlighted the campaign's focus on sustainable education, in line with Sheikh Mohammed's vision. He emphasized the importance of education in building stable and prosperous communities and praised the campaign's efforts to support and prepare millions of youth across underserved communities.

The campaign received significant contributions from various entities, including Azizi Developments, which pledged Dh600 million for the establishment of an endowment education complex, marking one of the largest charity contributions in the UAE. Sobha Realty Group and West Zone Group also made substantial contributions to support education initiatives.

Accompanying events, such as the Most Noble Number charity auctions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, further supported the campaign's success. These auctions, along with innovative initiatives to recognize major contributors, contributed to raising funds for the education endowment fund.
