Tamer Ashour, Wael Jassar Shine at Majaz Concert Night

Al Majaz Amphitheatre welcomed a full house on Monday evening as Arab music stars Tamer Ashour and Wael Jassar delivered a vibrant concert that drew fans from across the UAE. The atmosphere was charged with energy from the moment the “Let’s Majaz” season event began, reflecting the venue’s rising status as a central hub for regional cultural and musical performances.

Both artists expressed gratitude to the Sharjah audience, praising the emirate for its growing role in hosting major entertainment events and for providing a stage that continues to attract leading performers.

Tamer Ashour opened the night with a strong lineup of his most recognisable songs. Starting with “Hekayat,” he smoothly transitioned into standout tracks that have defined his career. The crowd erupted as he performed favourites including “Asr Ba’eed,” “Al Rak Ala Al Neyya,” “Hagi Al Nafsi,” and “Ghaybet El Habayeb.” Ashour kept the momentum high with hits such as “Yah,” “Teslam,” “Beit Kabir,” and “Makrahtehosh,” before moving into a nostalgic medley featuring “Metwahshana” and “Kan Mawdoa.” He closed his segment with powerful renditions of “Ohololo Samah,” “Eftera’na,” “Kont Fein,” and “B’aoul Aadi,” returning once more to the fan-loved “Haygeli Mawgou.”

Wael Jassar took the stage next, bringing his signature tarab style to the night. He began with a medley of early classics that immediately connected with long-time followers. His seamless shift from “Ghareeb El Nas” to “Kol Waad” was met with loud applause, with the audience singing along to every word. Jassar continued with much-requested songs including “Betwashesheeni,” “Mawgoua,” “Msheet Khalas,” “Malyoun Ahebbak,” and “Mahma Ye’oolo.” The performance gained further warmth when he delivered “100 Ehsas,” before moving into a tribute to the golden era of Arabic music with “Alf Leila wa Leila.” He closed the night with “Hasaret Kol El Nas,” “Nekhabi Leh,” and “Halleni,” leaving the crowd cheering for more.
