A new family festival called Lammah Al Bahr (Gathering by the Sea) has started at Al Mugheirah Beach in Al Dhafra, to the west of Abu Dhabi. This event is created with help from the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) and is part of efforts to improve life in Abu Dhabi and make it a better place for investors.

The festival will run from 7 February to June 2025 and will show the rich maritime traditions and Emirati culture of the region. It will also bring people together for a mix of sports, culture, and fun activities by the sea in Al Dhafra.
Mohamed Ali Almarar, from ADIO, said: “Lammah Al Bahr is all about celebrating our culture, helping local businesses, and making fun experiences for people in Al Dhafra. ADIO supports projects that help grow new businesses and create strong communities. This event will let us show off the best of Al Dhafra to everyone, including visitors and investors.”
For those who like adventure, there are fun activities like an aqua park, **zip-lining, and **sports tournaments**. People who enjoy water sports can also take part in fun challenges. The **Champion’s Zone will have padel tennis, beach volleyball, and **football** competitions.
Families can enjoy a fun carnival with rides, games, and a special play area for kids. The play area includes board games, an adventure net, a doughnut slide, a climbing tower, and giant inflatables**. If you want to relax, you can visit the Beach Club, which offers a calm and peaceful place by the sea.
There will also be live entertainment at the Al Manara Stage, where people will see performances that mix both old and new traditions. Surprise shows will also keep the fun going throughout the festival.
The festival will show off Al Dhafra’s rich history through live shows and workshops. The Heritage Zone will teach visitors about things like pearl diving, sailing dhows, and old fishing methods. Visitors can also learn these traditions through stories and hands-on activities.
The Food Park will have local and international food, while the shopping area will feature handmade products, crafts, and special souvenirs. The Art Haus gallery will have artwork by local artists and cool art displays.
You can go to the festival for free, but some activities might cost money. You can pay for these activities when you get there. All attractions are managed by experienced staff who make sure everyone stays safe.
Visitors who want to stay overnight can get special hotel deals that include meals. Starting in **March**, a **caravan park** will be available, and starting in **April**, **glamping** (a mix of camping and luxury) will be offered.
There is plenty of free parking at the event, and Lammah Al Bahr is open every Friday from 5 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am. The Champion’s Zone will be open Monday to Thursday from 3 pm to 10 pm, Friday from 5 pm, and **Saturday and Sunday from 10 am**. The opening times may change during Ramadan.
