Korean Air has been named the best airline in the world for 2025, taking over the top spot from Qatar Airways. This award was given because Korean Air focuses on making sure passengers are comfortable, especially in Economy Class. The airline’s services and commitment to giving customers a great experience helped it get this high ranking.

The ranking was based on several things, like reviews from passengers, expert opinions, the variety and quality of services, new technology, and plans for future growth. Korean Air stood out because it kept seat space at 33–34 inches on its wide-body planes. While other airlines added more seats and made the space between seats smaller, Korean Air kept the seats roomy for its passengers to be comfortable.

Sharon Petersen, CEO of the airline ranking website, said, "Unlike many other airlines, Korean Air decided not to reduce seat space on its planes. This helps passengers have a better, more comfortable trip."

Korean Air also offers great in-flight entertainment and better food, especially on long flights. This made the airline even more popular with travelers. Korean Air’s recent merger with Asiana Airlines, one of the biggest deals in Asian airline history, also helped the airline grow and improve.

Air New Zealand was ranked third, and Cathay Pacific was fourth. The top 25 airlines in the list are known for providing good services and making sure their Economy Class seats are not smaller than 31 inches.
