Kareena Kapoor shines in ethnic look by Pakistani designer at Raj Kapoor event

The Raj Kapoor Film Festival began in Mumbai on Friday to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of the legendary actor and filmmaker, Raj Kapoor. The Kapoor family organized this special event to honor his legacy, showcasing some of his most famous films. During the opening night of the festival, Kareena Kapoor, Raj Kapoor's granddaughter and a well-known actor, made a striking appearance in an ethnic outfit designed by Pakistani designer Iqbal Hussain.

Although Kareena is often seen in bold, dramatic gowns on the red carpet, she has been choosing simpler, more comfortable outfits for smaller, special occasions. For instance, she wore a stunning red hand-painted floral kurta set by Devnaagri, worth ₹36,500, when she and the Kapoor family met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi.

At the Raj Kapoor festival, Kareena wore another beautiful traditional outfit that reflected her love for comfortable yet elegant Indian wear. The outfit, designed by Iqbal Hussain, included an ivory pure cotton silk kurta with rust piping and tassels along the sides and neckline. She paired it with an ivory tissue inner shirt that had gota work on the sleeves. The matching ivory silk crushed pajama added to the graceful look. To complete the outfit, she wore a matching pure cotton silk dupatta with rust piping on all four sides, along with striking zari booties.

Kareena kept her makeup and hairstyle simple, focusing on her extravagant layered necklaces that added a touch of glamour. This outfit is available for purchase on Iqbal Hussain's website for PKR 95,000, which is around ₹28,963.
