Indian-Origin Man Arrested After Driving Stolen Vehicle Over Police Cruisers in Canada

On Thursday, a 25-year-old Indian-origin man, Ramanpreet Singh, was apprehended in Mississauga, Canada, after a dramatic incident involving a stolen vehicle and multiple police cruisers. The events unfolded around 6:30 PM on September 3rd when Peel Police received reports about a suspicious vehicle in the vicinity of Westwood Mall, near Goreway Drive and Etude Drive.

The vehicle, a Ford Bronco, was suspected to be involved with stolen property and weapons. Police located the Bronco in a Tim Horton's drive-thru, where they quickly surrounded it. Despite the police presence, Singh attempted to flee by driving over two police cruisers. A viral video from the scene shows an officer pointing a gun at Singh's window, trying to persuade him to surrender, but Singh remained uncooperative.

Further investigation revealed that Singh was also driving a stolen car. He was subsequently arrested and charged with several offenses: three counts of possession of property obtained by crime, flight from a peace officer, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and obstructing a peace officer. Singh sustained minor injuries during the incident.
