Initiated by the Brisbane City Council and organized by Expo City Dubai with advisory support from Expo Dubai Group, the 2025APCS will gather a global network of leaders committed to innovative urban development and sustainable practices.

Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and CEO of Expo City Dubai Authority, expressed pride in Dubai's selection, emphasizing Expo City Dubai's strategic location near the Al Maktoum International Airport and Dubai Exhibition Centre as pivotal for fostering collaboration among city and business leaders.

His Excellency Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai, highlighted Dubai's commitment to sustainable economic growth, integrated urban planning, and climate action, underscoring Expo City Dubai's role in advancing future cities.

The Asia Pacific Cities Summit, established in 1996, has a legacy of over 28 years in promoting economic growth and cooperation among cities. It has been hosted biennially between Brisbane and various international locations, including Seattle, Chongqing, Incheon, Kaohsiung, and Daejeon.

The 2023APCS held in Brisbane saw substantial economic outcomes, with AUD 2.3 billion in city projects presented and over 1,000 delegates from 171 cities participating, including numerous mayors and young professionals. The event is celebrated for its diverse lineup of speakers, exhibitors, and its impact on global urban development.
