UAE Launches Emirates Villages Run Series Promoting Community Sports

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE has unveiled the Emirates Villages Run Series, a nationwide initiative celebrating fitness, culture, and community engagement. Sponsored by ADNOC and supported by sports councils, municipalities, and tourism authorities, the series is part of the Year of Community 2025.

The series is designed to be inclusive, welcoming families, women, youth, senior citizens, people of determination, schools, companies, and sports clubs. Each event offers a safe and engaging environment, encouraging participants to embrace active lifestyles while connecting with local communities.

Races will span six emirates, starting on 11 October 2025 at Qidfa in Fujairah, followed by Masfout, Ajman on 18 October, Al Rams, Ras Al Khaimah on 25 October, Falaj Al Mualla, Umm Al Quwain on 1 November, Dibba Al Hisn, Sharjah on 22 November, Al Lisaili, Dubai on 29 November, and culminating at Al Shuwaib, Abu Dhabi on 6 December. Participants will compete for a total prize pool of AED500,000, adding a competitive spirit to the community celebrations.

Beyond sport, the series aims to highlight the UAE’s cultural richness. Traditional Emirati performances and village festivities will allow visitors and participants to experience local heritage while promoting tourism opportunities in rural areas. The initiative underscores a commitment to volunteerism, shared responsibility, and fostering a sense of unity among residents.
