EDGE Secures Landmark UAE Defence Contracts for ANAVIA UAS

Abu Dhabi, UAE – 22 January 2026:

EDGE, a global leader in advanced technology and defence solutions, has been awarded two landmark contracts by the UAE Ministry of Defence (MoD) to supply its cutting-edge ANAVIA HT-100 and HT-750 unmanned helicopters. These contracts represent one of the largest orders globally for autonomous unmanned aerial systems (UASs) to date.

Under the agreements, ANAVIA, EDGE’s Switzerland-based subsidiary specialising in the design and manufacture of advanced UASs, will deliver a total of 168 rotary-wing systems: 76 HT-100 and 92 HT-750 helicopters. The deployment of these autonomous platforms underscores the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its national security while embracing next-generation defence technologies.

The HT-100 is a mission-proven, all-terrain unmanned helicopter, capable of operating in day/night conditions and adverse weather. It serves as a rapidly deployable alternative to manned rotorcraft for intelligence and data-gathering missions. The HT-750, the larger variant, is a multi-role platform designed for logistics operations, capable of transporting heavy payloads while ensuring exceptional stability and reliability.

The announcement was made at the Unmanned Systems Exhibition & Conference (UMEX) and Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTEX) 2026. Attendees can explore EDGE’s portfolio and experience its latest autonomous systems at stand 05-010 until 22 January.
