Focus on Innovation and Artificial Intelligence

One of the biggest goals of the summit was to use innovation and artificial intelligence (AI) in education. This means using new technology and creative ideas to help students learn better and prepare them for the future. The summit had special sessions that taught teachers how to use AI tools in their classes to make learning fun and personalised for each student.

Keynote Speech by Dr May Laith Al Taie

Dr May Laith Al Taie, who is the Vice Chancellor of ECAE, gave an important speech at the event. She said that this meeting is part of their big plan to improve education in the UAE. She shared that education today must include innovation and AI so that students are ready for the jobs of the future. She also said that it is very important for everyone in the education sector to work together to build a strong, flexible education system that can face future challenges.

Words from Professor David Pedder

Professor David Pedder, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic at ECAE, also spoke at the event. He explained that innovation in education can change the world when teachers, researchers, and leaders work together. He said that the LINC Network helps schools to work together and use each other’s ideas to improve learning. He believes that this will help students do better in school and grow into responsible and active members of society.

Speech by Ministry of Education Official

His Excellency Sulaiman Al Kaabi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Professional Development Sector at the Ministry of Education, gave a speech during the summit. He talked about how the education sector is improving and what changes have taken place in the last year. The Chairman of the Innovative Education Communities Network Committee also shared important updates and achievements of the past year.

Interactive Discussions and Innovation Tour

The meeting included a discussion session where committee members and strategic partners talked about how to make the network better. There was also an Innovation Tour called ‘Portraits of Impact’. In this tour, teachers and educators showed the new ideas and projects they worked on throughout the year. They shared how these ideas helped their students learn better.

Workshop on Future Innovations

A special workshop called ‘Foreseeing the Future’ was also held. This workshop talked about what kind of innovations will be most important in the future. Teachers and leaders discussed how to prepare for these changes and make sure their students are ready for tomorrow’s world.

Innovations Showcased at the Summit

The summit showed many new and interesting educational innovations. One of them was using AI in teaching. Teachers learned about new AI tools and apps that can help make lessons more personal for each student. This means every student can learn at their own pace and in their own way.

Inclusive Education for Students with Disabilities

Another important topic was inclusive education. This means that students with disabilities should also get equal opportunities to learn and grow. The summit shared new ways to support these students so that they feel included in every activity and lesson.

Real Achievements and Research Projects

Students’ achievements and research projects were also highlighted. Teachers learned how to include research in their teaching so that students can learn through real-world problems and solutions. More than 200 teachers were trained on how to use research in their classes to improve students’ thinking and understanding.

Better Ways to Teach Mathematics, Arabic, and Islamic Studies

During the summit, teachers learned practical ways to teach mathematics. Using interactive tools, they helped students understand algebra better. For Arabic and Islamic studies, teachers explored new ways like challenge-based and play-based learning. This makes lessons more interesting and helps students remember better.

Parents Involved in AI Learning

The summit also organised workshops for parents. More than 30 parents learned how to use AI tools at home to support their children’s learning. This helps families work together with schools to give students the best support.

Encouraging Communication and Sharing Experiences

The summit gave everyone a chance to talk and share their experiences. Teachers, leaders, and parents learned from each other. They discussed what works best in classrooms and how to bring new ideas into schools.

Membership Growth in the LINC Network

The LINC Network grew a lot this year. The number of schools joining the network increased by 68 per cent. The number of teachers and educators also grew by 58 per cent compared to last year. Four Himam Centres for Inclusive Education Services became part of the network. This shows that more schools and teachers want to be part of this community and use new ways to teach better.

About the LINC Network

The LINC Network was created by the Ministry of Education. Its goal is to support teachers in using local innovations to improve their schools. Teachers in this network learn how to make classes more inclusive, use AI in lessons, keep students engaged, and improve their schools overall. ECAE is working hard to prepare educators for the future of education in the UAE. It wants to inspire teachers to lead change, work together, and prepare students to become successful and responsible citizens.

Summit Ends with New Goals

At the end of the summit, speakers and participants shared their recommendations. These suggestions will help shape future plans and projects. Everyone left the summit with a shared commitment to making education in the UAE better and stronger.
