Masoor dal, also called red lentils, is full of important nutrients. It contains protein, fiber, iron, and vitamins that support good health. Protein helps reduce hunger, while fiber improves digestion and helps control cravings.

1 cup masoor dal (red lentils)
Water (for soaking and grinding)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 green chili (optional), finely chopped
1 small piece of ginger, grated
Salt as per taste
A pinch of turmeric powder
Cumin seeds (optional)
A few drops of oil for cooking
You can also add chopped coriander leaves for better taste.
Wash the masoor dal properly and soak it in water for 3 to 4 hours.
Drain the water and grind the dal into a smooth batter using fresh water.
The batter should be thick but easy to spread.
Add salt, turmeric, onion, ginger, green chili, and cumin seeds.
Mix everything well until smooth.
The batter is now ready.
Heat a non-stick pan on medium heat.
Lightly grease it with a few drops of oil.
Pour one ladle of batter and spread it gently into a round shape.
Cook until bubbles appear and the bottom turns light golden.
Flip and cook the other side until done.
Remove and repeat with the remaining batter.
Serve hot with mint chutney or plain yogurt.

As an evening meal instead of fried snacks
It gives energy without making you feel heavy.
