Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 16 October 2025:
The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has entered into a landmark cooperation agreement with Emirates NBD, one of the region’s leading banking groups, to digitalise the leasing ecosystem and elevate the overall tenant and landlord experience in Dubai.

The strategic partnership, unveiled during GITEX Global 2025, underscores both entities’ shared commitment to advancing smart transformation, operational efficiency, and customer-centric innovation within Dubai’s real estate sector. The agreement was formally signed by Majid Al Marri, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector at DLD, and Ahmed Al Qassim, Group Head of Wholesale B the presence of senior officials and executives from both organisations.

Transforming the Leasing Landscape

Through this collaboration, DLD and Emirates NBD aim to develop a comprehensive digital infrastructure that will revolutionise the way leasing transactions are conducted across the emirate. The initiative seeks to streamline the management of security deposits, facilitate secure and efficient payment mechanisms, and introduce innovative financial products tailored for tenants and property owners.

The digital solutions will be seamlessly integrated with DLD’s smart application and online portal, enabling tenants, landlords, and property management firms to complete end-to-end leasing processes—from contract registration to payment—via secure and intuitive digital channels.

This integration reflects DLD’s unwavering focus on transparency, accessibility, and convenience, while Emirates NBD’s role ensures that the financial dimension of the real estate journey is modernised and future-ready, supporting both local and international customers.

Enhancing Customer Experience through Innovation

At the heart of this partnership lies a shared ambition: to simplify customer journeys and build a more connected digital rental ecosystem. The new solutions will enable tenants to make instant, traceable, and paperless transactions, while landlords and developers will benefit from real-time data, automated processes, and enhanced financial oversight.

By linking DLD’s smart services with Emirates NBD’s robust digital banking capabilities, this initiative will offer tenants greater flexibility, faster processing, and enhanced financial security. It will also empower property owners and real estate professionals to manage transactions more effectively, reducing administrative burdens and accelerating leasing cycles.

A Milestone in Dubai’s Digital Transformation

This cooperation represents a pivotal step toward achieving the goals of the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, both of which emphasize digital innovation, public-private collaboration, and service excellence as key pillars of the emirate’s future growth.

By fostering integration between the government and banking sectors, the partnership supports Dubai’s vision of becoming a fully digital, paperless economy, and reinforces its status as a global leader in real estate governance and financial innovation.

Majid Al Marri stated: “This partnership with Emirates NBD exemplifies DLD’s ongoing efforts to enhance customer experiences through digital transformation. By integrating innovative financial services into our real estate systems, we are enabling greater transparency, efficiency, and trust within Dubai’s property market.”

Ahmed Al Qassim added: “At Emirates NBD, we are proud to collaborate with DLD in driving the digital evolution of Dubai’s real estate sector. Together, we aim to create a seamless and secure leasing ecosystem that not only simplifies processes but also strengthens Dubai’s position as a global hub for innovation and smart living.”

Driving the Future of Real Estate and Banking

As Dubai continues to accelerate its smart city vision, partnerships like this exemplify the emirate’s proactive approach to integrating advanced technology across public and private sectors. The DLD–Emirates NBD collaboration is set to become a benchmark for digital excellence, reshaping the way leasing, financing, and real estate transactions are managed in the years ahead.
