Dubai Media Launches Dubai+ Family-Safe Digital Platform

Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) has launched a new digital platform called Dubai+, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council.

The launch is part of Dubai Media’s digital transformation strategy and aims to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global hub for media and content creation.

The announcement was made at a press conference attended by Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, and His Excellency Mohamed AlMulla, CEO of Dubai Media Incorporated, along with senior media leaders and industry representatives.

Mona Ghanem Al Marri said that Dubai+ reflects Dubai’s vision to keep pace with global media trends and strengthen the media ecosystem. She added that the platform will support innovation, storytelling, talent development, and private-sector participation, helping Dubai grow as a global media and creative center.

Mohamed AlMulla stated that Dubai+ is a major step toward building a fully integrated digital media ecosystem. He said future phases will expand content and audience engagement, making Dubai+ a key digital destination for Arab audiences. He also highlighted that the platform has advanced digital infrastructure to provide a high-quality user experience similar to leading global platforms.

Salem Balyouha, CEO of Media Content at DMI, said Dubai+ focuses strongly on family-safe viewing. The platform includes clear content standards, classification systems, and viewing controls to give families peace of mind.

At launch, Dubai+ offers more than 20 exclusive series, six original productions, over 170 international titles, and a sports section covering 12 live championships. The platform also includes live TV channels, films, major events, and premium entertainment content.

Dubai+ aims to strengthen Emirati and Arab content, support regional creators, and help Arab productions reach global audiences. The platform also plans to build partnerships across multiple markets and support local talent development.
