Her Excellency Nehal Badri, the Secretary General of the Dubai Media Council, said, “The Arab Media Summit is the biggest media event in the region. It is a great place to meet media professionals from different fields and talk about new trends and chances for growth in the media world. Our goal is to have important conversations that help the media industry grow and improve.”
She also mentioned that the Council will focus a lot on the film and gaming industries. These industries are growing quickly in the UAE and the wider region. The sessions will support the Council’s plans, especially after launching “Dubai Films and Games.” This is a new commission set up by the Council to help these sectors grow by connecting local talents with international producers and top game developers from around the world.
Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, said the Council’s role adds great value to this year’s Summit. “With many sessions led by top media experts and important voices, the Dubai Media Council will show new sectors and future chances in Arab media. This fits well with the Summit’s goal to focus on future growth and raise media standards in the region.”
Honoring Dubai’s Media Pioneers
The Dubai Media Council has a special program called ‘Dubai Media Pioneers.’ It honors Emirati media professionals who have made big contributions to the media industry. During the Summit, many important figures will share their stories. One of them is His Highness Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated.
Film and Television Production
Hesham Al Olama, Director of Strategy and Performance Management at the Dubai Media Council, said that film and TV production will be a main topic at the Summit. There will be sessions and workshops about how to build a strong film industry in the UAE that can compete globally. The focus will be on making films locally that meet international quality. Other sessions will look at the future of TV shows and dramas with help from top experts.
Al Olama also said the Council will explore how new technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), can improve media production. Talks will include how media can be both educational and entertaining while helping the economy grow. There will also be discussions on how media can help bring different cultures closer together.
