The Dubai government has issued a new law that aims to solve problems related to building houses for Emirati citizens. This law was issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai. The main purpose of this law is to make sure Emirati families live happily and safely in their homes without worrying about disputes related to house construction.
Why This Law Was Made
Many times, when people build houses, they face issues with contractors or builders. These issues could be about delays in work, poor construction quality, or disagreements on payments. Because of these disputes, families cannot move into their homes on time, which causes them stress and financial problems. The Dubai government understands this difficulty and wants to protect its citizens from these troubles.

What Leaders Said About The New Law
Helping Emirati Families Live Better
Directors General of important Dubai government departments said that this new law shows Sheikh Mohammed’s care for his people. He wants all Emirati families to feel stable and enjoy a good life. The law is part of Dubai’s plan to use all its resources to improve the happiness and well-being of its citizens.
The leaders explained that the law creates a modern system to solve problems quickly and fairly. It provides ways to settle disputes in a friendly manner first, and if that does not work, it allows the issue to go to court. This process will help finish housing projects on time, so families can move into their new homes without delay. It will also ensure that the houses are built properly and safely.
How The Law Makes Dispute Resolution Faster
His Excellency Prof. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, who is the Director General of Dubai Courts, shared his thoughts on the law. He said that this law shows Dubai Courts’ dedication to making the judicial system better and faster. The new law allows disputes to be settled quickly so that families do not have to wait for long periods to get justice.
He explained that the law has a special way of solving problems. First, it tries to solve the problem in a friendly and peaceful manner through the Centre for Amicable Settlement of Disputes. If the problem is still not solved, then it moves to the court for a final decision. Special judges and experts will handle these cases to ensure the process is smooth and fair for everyone.
Link To Year Of Community And Dubai Social Agenda 33
Prof. Al Suwaidi also mentioned that this law supports the ‘Year of Community’. This year is about building strong connections between people in Dubai and helping them work together for a better future. The law also supports Dubai Social Agenda 33, which aims to build a happy and integrated society where every citizen feels cared for and supported.
By solving house building disputes quickly, the law ensures that families get their homes as promised. This gives them peace of mind, stability, and happiness, which is an important goal for Dubai’s leadership.
How Dubai Municipality Views This Law
His Excellency Engineer Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, who is the Director General of Dubai Municipality, also spoke about this law. He said that it is an important step to make Dubai’s housing sector stronger. The law shows that the leaders care deeply about giving citizens a good quality of life.
He added that Dubai Municipality will use all its resources to make sure this law is implemented properly. They will ensure that all citizen housing projects meet the highest standards of urban planning. This means that the houses will not only be strong and safe but also beautifully planned with good roads, parks, and facilities nearby.
Making Contracts Clear And Fair
Mr. Bin Ghalita explained that the law also makes contracts between citizens, builders, and consultants clear. Sometimes, people sign contracts without understanding everything properly, which later causes problems. This law ensures that everyone knows their rights and duties clearly. This will reduce misunderstandings and disputes. As a result, construction work will not be stopped due to fights or confusion. Families will get their houses on time, and they will be satisfied with the work.
He said that when citizens are happy with their homes, it makes their lives better. They will feel comfortable and secure, which is very important for family life.
What The Dubai Judicial Council Says
His Excellency Prof. Abdullah Saif Al-Sabousi, who is the Secretary-General of the Dubai Judicial Council, said that this law is a valuable addition to Dubai’s judicial system. It shows that Dubai wants to use modern and smart ways to solve problems instead of long court battles.
He explained that the law will establish a special branch at the Centre for Amicable Settlement of Disputes. This centre will have highly trained staff and experts who will try to solve disputes peacefully before going to court. This will save time, money, and stress for both parties. If the dispute cannot be solved there, only then will it go to court, where specialised judges will handle the case efficiently.
Benefits Of This New Law
Faster Solutions: Families will get justice quickly and will not have to wait for months or years for decisions.
Better Homes: Builders will work properly to avoid disputes, ensuring better quality houses for citizens.
Family Stability: When families get their houses on time, they feel safe and stable.
Less Stress: People will not have to spend a lot of time and money in long legal battles.
Strong Society: The law helps build a strong society by caring for citizens’ basic needs like housing.
This new law is another step by Dubai’s leadership to make sure its citizens live happily and peacefully. It shows Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s vision of a Dubai where every citizen feels protected and supported. By solving disputes quickly and fairly, the government is building a future where Emirati families can focus on their dreams without worrying about their homes.
