Dubai Customs has done amazing work this year through its volunteer programs. In the first nine months of the year, these programs helped more than 90,000 people. This shows how much Dubai Customs cares about the community and making life better for everyone. The organization ran 23 different projects, and 669 employees spent over 3,000 hours volunteering to help others. This work reflects the goals of Dubai Customs’ leaders, who want to create a culture of giving and bring people closer together.
These programs are part of a bigger plan that supports the UAE’s Vision 2071 and Dubai’s D33 Social Agenda. Both plans aim to improve life in the UAE, create happy communities, and bring people together. Dubai Customs is working hard to make sure its programs help everyone in need, whether they are children, senior citizens, or people who need extra care.
Dubai Customs Leadership on Volunteering
Khalil Saqr bin Gharib, who is in charge of communications at Dubai Customs, explained how important volunteering is for the organization. “Volunteering is a big part of what we do. At Dubai Customs, we have created programs that follow the best ideas from around the world. These programs are designed to bring people together and support growth in our community,” he said.

Khalil shared that these projects provide much-needed help to people who need it most. They also make employees feel like they are an important part of their community. He thanked the organizations and charities across the UAE that work with Dubai Customs to make these efforts possible. He added, “Volunteering is not just about giving. It also brings people together, teaches them responsibility, and builds stronger communities. This year, we ran 23 programs that focused on health, charity, the environment, and helping people in different ways.”
Employees Get Involved in Helping Others
Fouad Al Shehhi, who leads the Ghayyath Volunteer Team at Dubai Customs, talked about how volunteering helps employees connect with the community. He said, “Volunteering gives employees a chance to make a real difference in people’s lives. It also brings our team closer together and makes them feel proud of the work they are doing.”
Programs That Help the Community
The Ghayyath Volunteer Team has worked on many different programs this year. These include health and safety campaigns for employees, support for senior citizens, and activities for people of determination. During Ramadan, the team gave out meals and food packages to people in need. They also helped in emergencies and supported committees that work on important issues in Dubai.
Dubai Customs believes that volunteering is more than just helping others. It is also about creating a caring and strong community. The organization sees volunteering as a way to make sure everyone feels supported and connected. By encouraging teamwork and kindness, Dubai Customs is building a society where people care for each other.
Looking Forward to a Better Future
Dubai Customs plans to continue running programs that bring people together and improve life for everyone. The leadership believes that volunteering is a key part of building a strong and united UAE. By focusing on helping others, Dubai Customs is not only improving lives but also inspiring other organizations to do the same. These efforts show how small actions can make a big difference in creating a better and more caring future for all.
