Dubai and India Explore Economic Cooperation Through CII Partnership

Dubai Chambers recently met a delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to explore opportunities for stronger economic cooperation and partnerships between Dubai and India. The meeting was attended by Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and Rajiv Memani, President of CII, along with representatives from Indian companies operating in diverse sectors.

The discussions focused on expanding trade, enhancing investment, and organising events across Indian cities to strengthen business ties. Dubai’s role as a hub for Indian companies looking to expand regionally and globally was emphasised.

During the first half of 2025, Indian businesses accounted for the largest share of new non-UAE companies joining Dubai Chambers, with 9,038 new members—a 14.9% increase from 2024. Earlier in April, Dubai Chambers signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CII to enhance bilateral trade, investment, and mutual economic growth.

The agreement provides a framework to support Indian companies in establishing and expanding their presence in Dubai through strategic services and streamlined investment processes. The partnership underscores Dubai’s position as a preferred destination for Indian investors and entrepreneurs seeking growth opportunities in the region.
