DP World Secures Role as Worldwide Partner of the Ryder Cup Until 2027

The PGA of America and Ryder Cup Europe have officially announced that DP World, a prominent provider of end-to-end supply chain solutions, will continue as a Worldwide Partner of the Ryder Cup through the 2027 competition. This announcement coincided with recent events celebrating the one-year countdown to the 2025 Ryder Cup, which is set to take place at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York, from September 23-28, 2025.

The Ryder Cup, established in 1927, is a prestigious biennial event that features twelve of the best professional golfers from the United States competing against their European counterparts in a team match play format. The tournament has garnered a massive global following, making it one of the most anticipated sporting events worldwide. Over the years, the Ryder Cup has significantly expanded in scale, both in terms of viewership and its physical presence, attracting numerous vendors and partners while requiring sophisticated logistical coordination.

Having first been named a Worldwide Partner in 2023, DP World played a crucial role in the successful execution of the Ryder Cup at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome, Italy. During this event, DP World showcased its global logistics capabilities by facilitating the smooth flow of necessary supplies and equipment. Key contributions included the provision of essential electrical and solar power supplies, 90 mobility scooters for attendees with limited mobility, and nearly two dozen containers filled with over 10,000 items utilized throughout the tournament.

The partnership underscores the alignment between the Ryder Cup's mission of fostering international goodwill and sportsmanship and DP World’s reputation for excellence in delivery and community engagement. DP World’s continued involvement will not only support the logistics of the Ryder Cup in 2025 at Bethpage Black but also for the subsequent event at Adare Manor Golf Club in Limerick, Ireland, in 2027.

DP World operates a smart logistics network spanning nearly 80 countries across six continents, handling over 10% of global trade. Its investment in technology and human resources enables it to provide the necessary infrastructure and equipment to connect millions of golf fans worldwide while enhancing the overall efficiency of the sport on a global scale.

Danny van Otterdijk, Chief Communications Officer at DP World, expressed pride in extending the partnership with the Ryder Cup, emphasizing the shared commitment to excellence and innovation. The partnership also strengthens DP World’s connection to the golf community, as the company has been the Title Partner of the DP World Tour since 2022 and has sponsored the season-ending DP World Tour Championship since 2009.

Jeff Price, Chief Commercial Officer at the PGA of America, highlighted the significance of DP World’s role in elevating the Ryder Cup experience globally. He noted that DP World’s logistical expertise ensured the event's smooth operation, allowing organizers to focus on providing a world-class experience for attendees.

Richard Atkinson, Ryder Cup Director at the European Tour group, acknowledged the complexities involved in staging such a significant sporting event and commended DP World’s smart supply chain solutions. With less than a year until the 2025 Ryder Cup, DP World, the PGA of America, and Ryder Cup Europe are actively implementing leading supply chain solutions to ensure this event becomes another memorable chapter in golf history.

In addition to logistical support, DP World plans to engage fans on-site through an experiential fan zone, where visitors can learn about the company’s innovative logistics capabilities. This space will also feature DP World’s ‘Second-Life Container’ initiative, aimed at collecting used and unwanted golf balls and equipment to support grassroots golf projects in need.
