Dubai, UAE – dnata is at the forefront of operational excellence at the Dubai Airshow 2025, deploying more than 100 ground support vehicles to ensure aircraft move safely and efficiently across both static and flying displays at Dubai World Central (DWC).

The company has mobilised around 111 motorised assets, ranging from aircraft pushback tractors and ground power units to passenger steps and air conditioning units. These vehicles are crucial for maintaining smooth operations during the week-long showcase.

Supporting such a high-profile event requires intricate logistics. dnata moves heavy ground equipment between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and DWC while ensuring normal airport operations remain uninterrupted. This is achieved through dnata Technical Services’ fleet of articulated trucks and low-bed trailers, with logistics support complementing the effort.

The Airshow also highlights dnata’s commitment to sustainability. As part of the oneDXB Sustainability Alliance, the company has dedicated 14 vehicles to a sustainability-themed display, including electric pushback tractors, loaders, passenger steps, and a solar-powered boarding ramp. Many of these assets are already operational in Dubai, reducing emissions, noise, and on-ground fuel use.

Innovation on display goes beyond electric vehicles. dnata is showcasing autonomous baggage tractors, AI-powered detection cameras for loader safety, and autonomous docking systems tailored for large aircraft like the A380. These technologies are already in live use or trial phases, demonstrating how practical innovation can enhance safety and efficiency.

The Airshow participation comes at a time when dnata is reporting strong global performance. In the first half of 2025, the company handled 450,903 aircraft turns—a 15% increase year-on-year—and processed 1.59 million tonnes of cargo, marking a 3% rise. dnata has also invested $110 million this year to expand its ground support fleet across multiple markets, including the UAE, USA, Brazil, Italy, and Singapore.

Combining electric, hybrid, and bio-diesel technologies, dnata is steadily transitioning to lower-carbon operations, balancing environmental goals with reliability in high-demand, high-heat conditions like Dubai.

dnata’s operations at the Dubai Airshow 2025 reflect both the precision of day-to-day airport handling and a forward-looking approach to sustainable aviation, reinforcing its role as a global leader in ground support services.
