Dubai, UAE – In anticipation of the upcoming 22nd Arab Media Forum (AMF), the Dubai Press Club (DPC) has proudly announced the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) as its Sustainability Strategic Partner for this year's event. Set to take place from May 27th to May 29th at the esteemed Dubai World Trade Centre, the Forum holds significance as it convenes under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
A gathering of influential figures spanning thought leaders, media personalities, editors-in-chief, influencers, scholars, writers, experts, and content creators from the UAE, the wider region, and globally, the event aims to delve into the future trajectory of the evolving media landscape within the Arab world.
DEWA's alliance with the 22nd edition underscores its deep-seated commitment to social responsibility and acknowledgment of the pivotal role media plays in addressing sustainability, a priority echoed by governments worldwide. The forum is poised to spotlight key media concerns and advancements across the region and the globe, with a particular emphasis on transformative shifts shaping the future of Arab media. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, emphasized the alignment of this partnership with the visionary objectives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to elevate the media's role in propelling sustainable development throughout the region. Al Tayer iterated DEWA's steadfast support for vital national initiatives as part of its corporate social responsibility ethos, highlighting the pivotal role of media in raising awareness on diverse topics pivotal to advancing sustainable development agendas.
Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, and President of the Dubai Press Club, conveyed her gratitude to DEWA for its unwavering support towards the Arab Media Forum and its substantive contributions to the event's accomplishments. The 22nd edition of AMF is poised to host a myriad of discussions centered on dissecting key economic, social, technological, and cultural developments propelling the media's metamorphosis, alongside its own role in navigating the region's evolving landscape.
The Forum's itinerary is slated to kick off with the second Youth Media Forum on May 27th, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of media professionals and influencers in the region. Subsequently, Day 2 of the event will witness the prestigious 23rd Arab Media Award ceremony, honoring exceptional achievements within the regional media sphere. Lastly, the forum will culminate with the Arab Social Media Influencers Award ceremony on Day 3, recognizing the impactful contributions of digital influencers across nine distinct categories.
