This announcement was made at a special event attended by government partners, media representatives, and senior officials. The new initiatives were developed in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority, Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, and Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, providing an integrated approach to supporting families at different stages of life.
His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of DCD, expressed his excitement about the launch, stating, "We are proud to open registration for the Numou initiatives, which demonstrate our dedication to building strong, stable families. These initiatives offer practical solutions to help young Emiratis overcome financial challenges and promote long-term family stability."
The program introduces six core initiatives designed to support family development
Facilitated Marriage Loan offers an interest-free loan of up to AED 150,000 to assist with wedding expenses. Couples who have two children within the loan repayment period and maintain family stability for five years will be eligible for partial loan forgiveness.
Maternity Leave Support for Women Working in the Private Sector extends maternity leave for Emirati women in the private sector to match that of government employees. This gives new mothers additional time to care for their newborns, supporting a balance between work and family life.
Home Visit Service provides guidance and personalized support for new parents, helping them navigate early parenthood and monitor their child’s growth and development. This service ensures that families receive assistance to promote well-being.
Rental Assistance for Newlyweds offers up to AED 75,000 in annual rental assistance for newly married couples for two years, renewable for up to four years. This initiative helps newlyweds secure stable housing during the early years of marriage.
Loan Partial Deduction grants a financial discount of up to AED 30,000 on housing loans with the birth of the fourth and fifth child, and AED 40,000 for the sixth child. This reduces the financial burden on growing families.
Extending Housing Loan Repayment Period allows married couples to extend their housing loan repayment period by up to nine years when they have their fourth, fifth, or sixth child, reducing financial strain and enhancing long-term financial stability.
The event also unveiled a new logo for the Numou program, symbolizing growth and family unity. Named after the Arabic word for "growth," the logo reflects the program’s focus on supporting families from marriage through to raising children with strong Emirati values. The logo’s design represents the strengthening of families as they contribute to building a cohesive community and a sustainable future for the nation.
Emirati citizens interested in participating in the initiatives are encouraged to register through the Medeem online platform, where they can review eligibility criteria and submit applications. More information can be found at https://medeem.gov.ae
