The Indian cricket team arrived in Dubai on Saturday, February 15, ahead of the Champions Trophy. They had their first practice session the following day at the ICC Cricket Academy to prepare for the tournament. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a fun video from the practice session, showing players working hard and enjoying some light moments before the tournament opener against Bangladesh on February 20.

India, who are two-time Champions Trophy winners, had a successful build-up to the tournament, winning the ODI series against England 3-0. The team is hoping to keep their winning momentum going as they head into the game against Bangladesh.

The practice session seemed relaxed, with the players warming up with a light jog and running before moving into their skill drills, focusing on batting and bowling. The video also showed some fun moments, especially with the new pacer, Harshit Rana.

In one part of the video, Arshdeep Singh jokingly teased Harshit over his English. Arshdeep began by saying, "Hello, namaskar aap sab ka swagat hai Dubai mein humari pehli practice ke liye" (Hello everyone, welcome to Dubai for our first practice). Harshit then tried to help Arshdeep by teaching him how to say the same thing in English: "Here we are at the ICC Cricket Academy, practicing for the Champions Trophy." Arshdeep, quick with his wit, responded, "Arre, English finish for one month," which made Rishabh Pant and Arshdeep laugh.

In another fun moment, Harshit hit a great lofted shot straight down the ground, which caught the attention of Pant, who was waiting for his turn to bat. Pant praised Harshit for the shot, but assistant coach Abhishek Nayar stepped in, advising Harshit not to play the ball in the air. Pant, with a laugh, quickly agreed with Nayar's advice, showing his support while still having a good time.

The players appeared in high spirits, and since most of them are fit and ready, the Indian team is looking forward to their opening match against Bangladesh in the Champions Trophy.
