Aimee Lou Wood reacts to her parody in SNL, calls it mean and unfair

Famous actress Aimee Lou Wood, who plays a big role in the show The White Lotus, was not happy after Saturday Night Live (SNL) made fun of her in a joke video. The video was shown in the April 12 episode of the show.

In the video, SNL star Sarah Sherman acted like Aimee’s character, Chelsea. She used a very strong, fake accent and wore big fake teeth. The skit also joked about other people, like Donald Trump and his team. But Aimee did not like how they made fun of her.

Aimee went on her Instagram and said the joke was “mean and not funny.” She said, “It’s sad because I liked watching SNL before. I know the show is about jokes, but can’t they do it in a smarter and kinder way?”

She also said the fake voice used in the skit didn’t sound right. “At least get the voice right. Even if a joke is mean, I think it should still be true,” she wrote.

After Aimee posted her message, many people sent her kind words. She said she got “thousands” of messages from people who agreed with her. Aimee also shared that people from SNL said sorry to her.

This is not the first time The White Lotus was talked about on SNL. In an old skit, a fake Donald Trump said he wanted to buy Thailand because he watched The White Lotus and liked “the girl with the teeth.”

Even though Aimee was upset, fans are glad she spoke up and told how she felt. Many people are now talking about how to make jokes in a fair and respectful way.
