AD Ports, SPG Yantai Launch Green Auto Trade Corridor

Abu Dhabi-based AD Ports Group has joined forces with SPG Yantai Port, a major government-owned port operator in China’s Shandong province, to establish green automotive business parks aimed at streamlining vehicle trade across Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa.

The partnership aims to build an efficient China-Middle East-Africa automotive logistics corridor, combining the strengths of both companies in infrastructure, market reach, and logistics expertise. By leveraging China’s position as the world’s largest automotive market and Abu Dhabi’s growing role as a trade and logistics hub, the initiative seeks to facilitate both new and second-hand vehicle exports.

Plans under the agreement include developing integrated bilateral terminals and auto hub networks, connecting the Asia-Pacific Green Automotive Circular Economy Industrial Park in Yantai with AD Ports Group’s automotive hubs in the UAE and other strategic markets. These hubs will be designed to offer a seamless and efficient supply chain for vehicles while incorporating sustainable energy solutions and AI-driven operational efficiencies.

The initiative will explore state-of-the-art port-integrated auto hubs that optimize logistics processes and create competitive advantages in the automotive sector. The collaboration also emphasizes the adoption of advanced energy infrastructure, promoting sustainability alongside trade growth.

This partnership is expected to strengthen economic and trade exchanges between China and the UAE, promoting a circular economy and supporting the region’s vision for diversified, sustainable growth.
